White House Opportunity & Revitalization Council Recognizes the Inland Empire

In September 2020, Scott Turner, Executive Director of the White House Opportunity and Revitalization Council shared a special message with Riverside County and San Bernardino County, California congratulating them on all of the efforts towards utilizing Opportunity Zone incentives in the region.

From grants awarded with Opportunity Zone preference points to developments catalyzed with QOF investments, the two counties recognize the significant potential for OZs to bring new developments and investments into the region. Riverside County for example stood up a dedicated resource hub for OZ information and incentives across the county at RivcoOZ.com and works with Opportunity Riverside to identify key priorities, deal pre-underwriting, investor outreach, education and more.

As part of ongoing education for the community and staff, both counties partnered on a recent webinar, “Inland Empire Opportunity Zones: A Covid-19 Recovery Tool?” where Scott Turner recognized the county on the efforts and growing results. To view a recording of the webinar, visit RivcoOZ.com.
